Documents are stored with full provenance and a cryptographic fingerprint, so readers and researchers can confirm nothing has been altered.

What every document carries
- Source
- The publisher, registry, court or authority it came from, with a direct link
- Dates
- When the document was created and when it was made public
- Jurisdiction
- Pakistan, UK, US, EU, Switzerland or elsewhere
- Type
- Filing, judgment, gazette notification, contract, audit or statement
- Entities
- The people, companies and institutions it names
- Fingerprint
- A SHA-256 hash proving the file has not changed
- Reviewer
- The editor who checked it, and how the text was extracted
- Evidence class
- One of our six labels, from documented fact to editorial conclusion
Tamper-evident storage
A SHA-256 fingerprint is computed at ingestion. Any later change to a file produces a different fingerprint.
